AT AT Star Wars fan license plate

Sunshine is another movie I noticed on a “must watch” Sci-Fi movie list. The premise of the movie is that the Sun is dying, leaving the Earth in a permanent winter. A group of astronauts are riding on the back of a big bomb the equivalent size of Manhattan island. They are supposed to launch the bomb into the sun to kick start it back up to full brightness. I first saw the trailer online for Jumper a few months ago. Since then many different ones have been released, most making the movie look better than it turned out to be. Don’t get me wrong though, the movie was pretty good for a Sci-Fi action movie. First off, I didn’t realize that Hayden Christenson was playing the main character, David Rice. I guess he has done a few movies since he was Anakin Skywalker in Revenge of the Sith, but I never heard of any of them.

First of all, I’ve never read the novel this movie is based on, so this review only refers to the movie. I might do a comparison when I read the book some time in the future. From what I’ve read, this version is just a reflection of what is in the book. With that said, I really did enjoy the movie. (more…)
