***NOTE*** SOE published the New Game Enhancements for Star Wars Galaxies, aslo known as the NGE on 11-15-05. This comes after the CURB or CU for short was published on 4-27-05 and never lived up to expectations. Information listed on this site is current up to but NOT including the NGE. Pre-CU (also known as PreCU) information has been compiled and located in the lower menu bar. Read my update for more information on my Pre-CU pages.
So, you want to build either a Scythe or an Executioner's Hack?
Let's start out with some basic information before we get started.
These weapons are made from limited use schematics, Scythe's have 2 uses, Executioner's Hacks have only 1.
So, where do you get these schematics? For the Scythe Schematic, fly to Mos Entha. Type /waypoint 1390 3200 and speak with a gentleman that will give you some missions ONLY if you have at least a full line in an Elite Combat Profession. Most players could finish these missions unbuffed. However your final mission is to use a treasure map to uncover a chest (which you loot the schematic from). As soon as you uncover this chest a Krayt Dragon drops on your head, so get buffed, wear armor, loot the schem and run like hell! For the Executioner's Hack schematic, go to Endor and search out the Death Watch Bunker (/waypoint -4680 4330) and kill Black Sun Henchman, it is a random loot from them. To get inside the DWB you must have talked to Boba Fett inside Jabba's Palace. If you have bad Jabba faction you have to group with someone that has access to get in, however lots of spawns show up outside anyway.
I only recommend using Yellow (Damage) cubes for making sword cores. Whites have no bonus, greens do not change the condition of the final weapon and work the same as whites for cores, reds only reduce HAM cost which can be offset by buffs/food. I highly recommend using Solidifying agents along with the cubes, however they are not required.
Now that you know what goes into a Scythe/Hack, it is time to build one. Use my builder to play around with different parts to see how it will turn out!
Example: You wish to make two scythes using only one use of a schematic. This requires 7 Identical Geonocian Power Cubes (7 identical Solidifying Agents are also recommended but not required). Out of 7 parts you get 6 Identical cores, a schem from the Scythe schem can be made with 2 cores (4 remain). That schem is then run for a total of two Scythes (2 cores per scythe). Doing it this way, it possible to get 4 Scythes from a single 2 use schem. You could also do this with 6 identical looted cores which already have the same serial number. The same procedure can be used to make two Blacksun Executioner Hacks from the single use schem.
